Under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) and related data provisions, Edward Business College is required to collect personal information about students and disclose certain information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).

Personal information collected (including information provided during enrolment) may be used or disclosed for statistical, administrative, regulatory, compliance, and research purposes. This includes disclosure to authorised Commonwealth, State, or Territory government departments and agencies, and to NCVER, as required by law.

Why We Collect Your Personal Information

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Edward Business College collects personal information to:

  • Process and manage your enrolment in vocational education and training (VET) courses
  • Deliver training, assessment, and student support services
  • Meet regulatory, reporting, and compliance obligations

If you do not provide the required personal information, we may be unable to enrol you in a course or provide related services.

Edward Business College is required under the NVETR Act 2011 to disclose certain personal information to the National VET Data Collection, managed by NCVER.

How NCVER and Other Authorities Handle Your Information

NCVER collects, holds, uses, and discloses personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the NVETR Act 2011.

Your information may be used by NCVER for purposes including:

  • Creating authenticated VET transcripts
  • Education statistics, research, and data analysis
  • Policy development, workforce planning, and consumer information
  • Conducting surveys and approved data linkage projects

NCVER may disclose personal information to contractors engaged to conduct research on its behalf. NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to overseas recipients.

NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Education and State or Territory authorities for VET administration, regulation, monitoring, and evaluation purposes.

You may be contacted to participate in a student survey conducted by NCVER or a government agency. Participation is voluntary, and you may opt out when contacted.
