Course Overview

This qualification equips students with the practical skills required to carry out painting and decorating tasks in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal academic prerequisites; however, applicants should:

  • Be at least 16–18 years of age depending on enrolment pathway
  • Possess basic English communication skills
  • Demonstrate basic numeracy skills
  • Be physically capable of manual work and working at heights
  • Undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment prior to enrolment

Apprenticeship students must be employed in the painting and decorating industry where required.
